Using my old D60 and a new Tamron 17-50mm lens, I didn't expect to get as great of shots as I did. There is so much beauty to be found in the Bow Valley and Banff area. It took much discipline to find a decent composition and then to work for the shot. With no people to direct, the onus was entirely on me to find the angle and make it work. The goal was not only to capture the tranquility of the area and its obvious depth of beauty - but also to find a unique look for my photographs. Something that wouldn't be a copy of the postcards in the gift stores around Banff.
