I'm a little late getting these posted - but what a wonderful (although slightly chilly) late fall afternoon shoot this was! Amanda and Brady, Okie, Honey and Baby L spend just a half hour in the park infront of my camera. And SO many joyful shots were taken. Here are just a few of my favourites:

Fall is just the best for vibrant photography - and the prairies offer absolute magnificence for an artists backdrop. Yes, contrary to popular jest - we have hills, and trees and lakes! This wonderful family spent a mini session with me - and it was both hot in temperature and hot in end result. It's also my joy to call them friends.
Not much more can be beautiful for my soul than an evening such as this one was. The gorgeous Prairies, a wonderfully fun-loving family, and my camera in hand. The laughs were literally beyond belly-aching. So much Joy.
ilyHave you ever stumbled across a love story so great it encompasses the people around the actual stars of the story? Emily and Tanner were obviously smitten with each other, but their story was more than just young love. They have a true and deep appreciation for each other, and what being together means. Their wedding was a beautiful, simple yet sophisticated affair that emulated all of who each of them are. I enjoyed spending the months leading up to their big day helping with some of the logistics of planning, visiting several potential locations for their photos. The day of the wedding dawned a little chilly, but it didn't matter. It was fantastic!
Thanks Emily and Tanner for trusting me with your photos. Congratulations! He Made is appearance in a blizzard, but warmed every heart who saw him. At just 12 days old on his LWP model debut, he refused to keep his eyes closed! Chubby cheeks and a crown full of hair have a way with my heart like nothing else on a baby. The fact that he is also my precious nephew had nothing to do with all this...I promise! Congrats Jayde and Dylan!
Family is everything. Knowing the intimate details of a journey is an incredible gift and privilege. I was beyond estatic when I heard my husbands "baby-est" sister and her new husband were expecting. I was a teary mess taking these photos as I witnessed the beautiful love between Jayde and Dylan, and the excitement and love they shared for their wee babe. Since Jayde's mom and I were the only two who knew that the wee bump was going to be a Prince, it was an extra special shoot, followed by a really fun gender reveal party. Family is everything.
This one was a hot one! Not only were Jim & Judy heating things up with their perfect love story...but Moose Jaw was a record breaking 42 degrees (Celsius) and the hottest place in CANADA to boot!
They met 16 years ago...on an airplane. Fate sat them next to each other, and Jim left his watch behind. Judy called him to give it back and bam! Perfect love! If you scroll through my blog, you may find several shoots with the same names. That's because sometimes, I have the privilege of seeing families as they grow. This special Family is exactly one of those. From Engagement to this here shoot, I have seen all the special occasions. Thanks for trusting me - again- with your photos!
Energetic little boys are the BEST to photograph because almost every shot is an action shot! I never want my craft to evolve into perfectly posed photos like you get at Walmart. I love the challenge of capturing the flavour of what makes every family special - and this little shoot with the Olsen Family did just that for me. With a special little guy as the center of attention for turning ONE, we braved crazy winds and angry ducks to get some of the most memorable photos imaginable.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Regina had me come photograph their New Years Eve 2017 Gala. I am honored to be a preferred vendor with them, and this was an amazing opportunity. You can see a virtual tour of the room here. I was thoroughly impressed with how the Regina community turned up in full gala wardrobe - they even had our own real life Phantom make an appearance! The Bob Moyer Band provided excellent entertainment for our ballroom enthusiasts while The Chef and his team of staff served an exquisite five course meal! (This was the first time I've used so many different elements of cutlery and crockery in my life! I felt both overwhelmed and super fancy!) If you're in Regina, SK next NYE, this is something to check out! |
